A masterclass-style workshop, exploring and creating music for solo performer and electronics, for aspiring composers - all ages, and general musical interest.
Led by: Sam Bullard - saxophones, Ben Corrigan - electronics,
Assisted by: Judith Weir – patron-composer, Ali Willis & Simon Speare – mentor-composers ’21,
Participants: Samby Anderson & Pernille Faye – MRF award-holders ‘21,

Sam Bullard Introduction to all 4 saxophones’ ranges & sound possibilities.
Ben Corrigan Introduction to electronic sound possibilities, with demonstrations using DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), such as Ableton & Logic.
11.15 break Zoom meeting to stay open – fetch yourself a snack and enjoy the chat
11.45 MRF award-holder sketches to the Composing Brief: short work, up to 4.5 minutes in length, for pre-recorded electronics and saxophone(s), on the concept of Distance.
Discussion - sharing ideas and composition / performance techniques to the Composing Brief.
Summing up.
