This annual Festival is a celebration of contemporary music and has at it's heart MRF's support for young composers. This year the selection panel were particularly impressed by 3. They have each received MRF's award and are working hard with their mentors, writing music for film with Dan Keen. Premieres will be given at the concert, along with performances from the earlier Workshops, AND MORE!
During the afternoon there will be:
15.30 - 17.30 masterclass Composers in Conversation - the 3 awarded composers will discuss with Dan Keen - composer-in-residence, Alan Bullard - guest composer, and mentors, their MRF commission to write music for flm. It is always fascinating to hear from composers about their creative process. All ensemble participants are welcome to observe, when you can.
We are looking forward to an inspiring day exploring new music - in-person!!
Hoping you can join us.
