MRF has now been supporting young composers for 5 years, the majority of whom have gone on to undergraduate studies in composition - the composers of tomorrow.
Festival 2019 marks this milestone through premieres from this years' awarded young composers, from MRF alumni and established contemporary composers. Performers include MRF's ensemble in residence: the Parks-Swani duo of stunning Conservatoire-based performers bring us percussion with recorders & flute; singers from Commotio - leading performers of contemporary choral music; Joseph Spooner - cello; MRF's scratch choir and flexible ensembles - directed by David Gibson and MRF mentors; ensembles from Alton College.
Howard Skempton, composer & Patron, will facilitate for a second year the composition-performance workshop, masterclass-style.
Bar will be available.
